This or That Challenge

I was tagged by Elizabeth from Uncustomary Housewife for the This or That Challenge! I was so excited to be tagged, this was super fun and I loved learning about her! Thanks again for tagging me, Elizabeth! She has a ton of great content on a lot of broad topics: Housewife, Mental Health, Cooking, and more! You should go check out her blog or her This or That post.

This challenge was fun, but comical because I’m also terribly indecisive. I’ll stand in the store for long time contemplating if I should buy an item (which drives my husband bananas). I did my best to choose one answer for each question.

Question 1: Shower in the morning or evening?

Morning. I’m always so exhausted when I wake up that the very first thing I do is splash cold water under my eyes while I wait for the shower to warm up.

Question 2: City center or close to nature?

If money was no factor, I’d love to live in an apartment over looking NYC or a townhouse on Beacon Hill in Boston. However, money doesn’t grow on trees, and I’m totally happy in the ‘burbs.

Question 3: Bright colors or neutrals?

Neutrals. I think I choose neutrals for everything—paint, clothes, decor, etc. My phone case is plain black. My husband gives me a hard time about always choosing black handbags.

Question 4: Spring or Autumn?

Hmm. My birthday is in spring, so I’ve always been excited for the change of season out of winter, but I do love autumn too. Autumn is so cozy and filled with fun activities. I’ll choose Autumn.

Question 5: Mint or cinnamon?

Mint. LOVE Mint. Mint everything. Mint chocolate chip icecream.

Question 6: Planned or spontaneous?

Planned. I cannot function with spontaneity. I get so aggravated. I have an idea of how my day is going to go, and if someone asks me to meetup I get so frustrated because that’s not how I pictured my day. I just need notice.

Question 7: A movie at home or at the cinema?

At home. I used to love the cinema, but a lot of the theatres are sticky and gross now. There is an older one near my house that reeked of BO. No thank you.

Question 8: Espresso or latte?

Fun fact: I used to work at a Starbucks. I know too much about fancy drinks. Once in a while I’ll drink a latte, but I actually prefer coffee. Additional fun fact: ounce for ounce, espresso obviously has more caffeine than an ounce of coffee. However (at Starbucks), a small latte has less caffeine than a small cup of coffee. Now you know.

Question 9: Hugs or kisses?

My two favorite people.

From my husband (or my infant)? Both. From anyone that isn’t those two? Neither. I am not a touchy person. Nothing personal, I just don’t need people in my bubble. I’ll hug family and friends to be polite, but I won’t go out of my way to hug and I will try to avoid it if I can.

Question 10: Spicy or mild food?

~SpIcY~ I put crushed red pepper on everything. Crushed red 4 lyfe.

Question 11: Leather or lace?

Hmm. Leather? I’m more likely to wear a leather jacket than to wear anything lacy, but I still don’t really wear leather. (And if I did, it’s probably faux.)

Question 12: Overdressed or underdressed?

Overdressed. I love heels. I also believe that its better to show up overdressed than underdressed. You make a good impression when you look nice.

Question 13: Adventure or comfort?

I feel like this is vacation related? Probably adventure. My husband and I have gone on plenty beach vacations—but neither of us actually like relaxing on the beach.

Question 14: TV series or movie?

Series. I love a good sci-fi series especially.

Question 15: Rock or country music?

Rock. I grew up with my dad always blasting Zeppelin, so I’m conditioned to love rock.

Question 16: Red or white wine?

Red. I love the warmth a good Cabernet has when you take that first sip.

Question 17: Working alone or in a team?

I am better alone. Anytime there was a school project, I’d end up taking over and doing the whole project myself (and getting the group a good grade!)

Question 18: Swimming or sunbathing?

Swimming or shade. I hate being burnt and I equally hate sunscreen so I sit in the shade.

Question 19: Fast food or sit-down restaurant?

Sit-down restaurant. I try to make healthy choices and it’s easier at restaurants.

Question 20: Matched or mismatched socks?

Mismatched. I hardly ever can find a match so I throw on whatever I find first. I have yet to find a person who will wear mismatched socks like me.

Question 21: Dancing or singing?

Dancing! I love to dance! I took years of dance lessons when I was a kid and you can always find me on the dance floor at a wedding. Only the people that live in my house hear me sing. (My husband, kiddo, and two dogs).

Question 22: Phone or the internet?

I hardly ever use my phone for actual phone purposes, so internet. I wouldn’t be able to add to my blog without it! 😉

So there you have it, all my answers to the This or That Challenge. Thanks again, Elizabeth!

This is so me, oh my Gods. At this point, whenever I can’t make a decision I’ll try and narrow it down to 2 or 3 options then have my Husband pick from those FOR me, and then get / use that one. It’s helped SO MUCH, lol.

Anyways! I was technically already tagged for this challenge- by Elizabeth, too! You can see my own indecisiveness at play over here –> https://yeslittlehummingbird.wordpress.com/2018/08/11/this-or-that-challenge/ I super enjoyed reading yours though 😀 It’s nice to meet you!

Thanks for reading! Nice to meet you too!

Oh geez. Silly me. I thought I checked all her tags (but I obviously failed haha)

I was cracking up reading this! Although I already knew how you would answer the questions, it’s funny to look at what you married in to!! We’re kissers and huggers (except for Jeff- he hugs the person as if they have the plague!) and we just wing things and no one is allowed to be alone 😆 I’m sure we drive you crazy but we have to keep you!😘
