Tuesday Tidbit: Make a List

Welcome back to my weekly Tuesday Tidbit series. You can read last week’s post. 

This week I’m advising you to make a list (and a cocktail) when you are feeling overwhelmed. I can’t survive without lists.

I have so much to do before Thursday, and I’m ready to FREAK OUT.

My cousin is getting married Saturday and I’m the co-MOH. I have to finalize the speech (well, I have to start it too). I have to pack for our trip home, finalize the details on my husband’s not-so-surprise party on Sunday, clean our house, finish up two huge work projects, and the list goes on.

But you know what helps me stay on track? My handy-dandy notebook list.

And there’s actually evidence behind to-do lists. I found this great article on The Guardian, “Cohen puts our love of to-do lists down to three reasons: they dampen anxiety about the chaos of life; they give us a structure, a plan that we can stick to; and they are proof of what we have achieved that day, week or month.” Read more at The Guardian.

So… wish me luck that I get everything done on time. I’ll be making a mile long list. Happy Tuesday.
